The fun way to play Trivia! This game is actually a refreshing change to the standard apps that have hit the market for the Trivia genre. Featuring artwork that can only be described as cute, with characters representing each of the 6 categories of questions,
Trivia Crack is slowly but surely becoming one of my favourite games. While this is a bit different from the standard pub trivia night, the app does offer a lot of fun. The interface is pretty straightforward, with moderately coloured graphics and design. The rules of the game are simple, you can either create a new game and challenge a random player, or you can connect the app to your Facebook account, and challenge friends to a round of Trivia. Click on the dial to randomly be assigned a topic on which you are asked a question. As you answer questions correctly in each round, the difficulty level increases in subsequent rounds. Trivia Crack has questions from 6 broad categories – Geography, History, Science, Entertainment, Art, and Sports. This amounts to a total collection of over 100K questions. This does sound like a lot of fun, especially when you’re having a party over, and want to start a random game. It kind of makes you wish you could screencast this app onto your TV (hope the developers are listening!).
One interesting feature is the ability to get power ups that you can purchase using coins you’ve earned answering correct questions. These power ups can be used to steal your opponents’ characters or get extra spins in case you’re stuck on a question. Another feature that I’ve loved about this app is that you can add questions to the app’s question banks, which means that the trivia category is only expanding, and you’ve got a lot you can quiz yourself and your friends on before the night is done.
The app is free to download and does feature a moderate amount of ads in it, but this is not too much of an issue, and in all fairness, paying $3 to make the app ad-free is just a matter of personal preference. I’d do it just to support the developers for making this a fun app! Trivia Crack is available for devices running iOS7 and up, and Android 2.3 and up.
